Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our long-standing client based in the Redditch area. This HGV Class 1 Night Driver position offers consistent work, modern vehicles and the opportunity to work alongside a professional transport team who genuinely value their drivers.

Pay Rates

PAYE

• £18.50 per hour Monday to Friday

PAYE with Optional Rolled Up Holiday Pay

• £20.73 per hour Monday to Friday

Drivers can choose to receive holiday pay separately or opt for rolled up holiday pay which is included within the hourly rate.

The Role

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will complete store deliveries across the region, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and professionally.

Typical duties include:

• Completing between 3 and 5 store deliveries per shift
• Operating a tail lift
• Moving roll cages on and off the vehicle
• Carrying out handball duties as required
• Completing POD and delivery documentation accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Delivering excellent customer service when attending customer sites
• Adhering to driver hours and working time regulations

This role does involve manual handling and applicants should be comfortable with physical work involving roll cages.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 17:00 and 22:00
• Typical shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours
• Ongoing work available
• Optional weekend shifts available
• Regular and consistent workload throughout the year

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Night Driver role, you must have:

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours legislation
• Professional and reliable attitude
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
