Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday

Locum Role: ASAP - January 2027, extensions possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

This is a rewarding role within a specialist multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with cancer through early assessment, intervention, and discharge planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to prevent hospital admissions where appropriate and ensuring patients receive timely rehabilitation and support to optimise outcomes and facilitate safe discharge home.

 

Essential Criteria: 

We are looking for a Physiotherapist  with: 

  • Physiotherapy degree (BSc) or diploma. 
  • HCPC Registration. 
  • Strong acute inpatient physiotherapy experience and the ability to manage acutely unwell patients.
  • Excellent complex discharge planning skills.
  • Experience working with oncology or cancer patients is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.
