National Parks & Wildlife Services Ranger

National Parks & Wildlife Services Ranger (90M0386667) Armidale, Australia

Randstad Recruitment are seeking Tertiary Qualified National Parks Rangers who are able to effectively provide and manage nature, historic and Aboriginal heritage. 

 

The role will require an individual who can;

  • Ensure the obligations and aims of the client are met through the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage values of the parks
  • Provide effective management of natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage
  • Undertake, coordinate and supervise projects
  • Undertake environmental assessments
  • Conduct visitor and stakeholder liaison
  • Conduct field based activities

 

The individual will need the following;

  • Degree in Botany, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography or relevant qualification
  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • Ability to operate a four wheel drive vehicle 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Fire fighting or prescribed burning experience 
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Chainsaw / Crosscut Ticket
  • Project management experience 
  • Ability to work very well within a team 
  • Operate with independence 
  • Is able to manage and work towards deadlines 
  • Can respond and handle emergency situations
