School Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a specialist provision in the Ilford area that supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties that are unable to sustain a mainstream placement. This is a small school and the staff are like a 'family' where they support and help each other.

The ideal candidate:

Experience ideally in a school setting supporting vulnerable young people however transferable experience in other settings such as social work or residential homes is also acceptable.

Resilient and willing to work with students with challenging behaviour

Flexible in your approach

Available between 8.30am and 4.30pm daily

Own transport desirable

NVQ 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in the Classroom or a Teaching Assistant qualification

Confident to work on a 1:1 basis with students and get involved in planning
