About the Role
We're looking for an inspiring and experienced School Lead to take ownership of a specialist education site and play a key role in shaping its success.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident education leader who is passionate about driving high standards, supporting staff development, and making a real impact on the lives of young people.
You'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to lead the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring outstanding teaching, strong pastoral support, and positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running and operational management of the site
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral support
- Drive improvements in behaviour, attendance and student achievement
- Act as Safeguarding Lead (alongside the Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead) and promote a strong safeguarding culture
- Lead, develop and motivate staff, including performance management
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform improvement strategies
- Work collaboratively with SLT, external partners, and families
- Contribute to curriculum development and ensure personalised learning is at the heart of delivery
- Lead on reporting, reviews, and stakeholder engagement
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has leadership experience within an education setting (SEND or alternative provision experience highly desirable)
- Is passionate about building a positive, inclusive and ambitious learning environment
- Has strong experience of improving behaviour, attendance and outcomes
- Is confident leading, developing and challenging staff
- Can use data effectively to drive improvement
- Has excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Is a qualified teacher (or equivalent)
