RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for quality control sample tracking (cradle to grave) system. This involves issuing sample identification, determining test requirements (based on controlled documentation), preparation of associated paperwork, notification to the laboratory staff, database management, and archival of paperwork and actual samples for all laboratory samples. Samples include facility environmental samples, stability samples, incoming raw materials, retest materials, in-process and finished nutraceutical and pharmaceutical product samples, and any other miscellaneous samples requiring analysis.
- Controls the purchasing and receipt of laboratory supplies.
- Maintains current chemical inventory list.
- Ensures continuous monitoring of stability chambers, prompt acquisition of stability samples, and maintains stability schedule for stability program.
- Assists laboratory management with the oversight of all quality control, controlled documentation such as standard operating procedures, laboratory forms, product specification forms, and raw material specification forms.
- Assists laboratory management with the laboratory standard management program and microbiological agent management program that tracks the receipt, storage, and use of primary and secondary analytical standards.
- Assists laboratory management with the microbiological agent management program that tracks the receipt, storage, and usage of microbiological agents in the laboratory.
- Assists laboratory management with equipment and instrument qualification and calibration schedules.
- Aids with the overall general organization and appearance of the quality control laboratory.
- Other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school diploma, college preferred.
- General computer knowledge including familiarity with Microsoft platform and database maintenance.
- 0 - 2 years experience in a chemistry and/or microbiology laboratory.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
- Desire and ability to work in a positive team environment.
