Welder Fabricator

Pay: £16.00–£17.00 per hour + overtime (time & a third)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Working pattern: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (30 mins unpaid lunch + 15 mins paid break)

Location/Travel: Workshop-based with local Nottinghamshire site work (approx. 70% workshop / 30% site) – no staying away

A busy, well-established engineering and fabrication business is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a small, friendly workshop team producing bespoke, made-to-order work. If you enjoy building from scratch and working from drawings—not repetitive production—this is a great fit.

What you’ll be doing

• Welding and fabricating bespoke steelwork from scratch
• Predominantly MIG welding
• Working mainly with mild steel (approx. 90%)
• Material thickness typically 3mm–15mm
• Reading and working to engineering drawings
• Supporting local site jobs across Nottinghamshire (van provided when required)

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
• Confident working from engineering drawings

Desirable:

• Stainless steel experience
• Folding / fabrication machining / CNC folding exposure (advantage)
• Comfortable with occasional site-based tasks
