Mechanical Installation Engineer | Mechanical Fitter | CSCS

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Mechanical Installation Engineers / Mechanical Fitters for a new-build commercial project in Bridgend.

This is a 4–6 week contract opportunity for experienced mechanical installation professionals with a valid CSCS Card. You will assist the client's Site Supervisors and Site Installation Engineers with the installation of a theatre counterweight system.

The work will primarily be carried out from birdcage scaffolding alongside an experienced installation team.

Key Duties

• Install steelwork, guide tracks and general mechanical equipment, including support brackets.

• Assemble and install counterweight cradles and associated mechanical components.

• Install head blocks, loft blocks, wire ropes and steel wire ropes.

• Align and secure mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings.

• Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure equipment.

• Work safely from birdcage scaffolding and follow all site safety procedures.

• Assist with general mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card – essential.

• Previous mechanical installation experience.

• Comfortable working at height from birdcage scaffolding.

• Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.

• Own hand tools and PPE.

• Experience installing steelwork, mechanical equipment or stage engineering systems would be desirable.
