Role & Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure RAMS and SSOW are in place for all planned, reactive and corrective works.
  • Act as the focal point for RAMS and SSOW for the engineering team and third party contractors, responsible for quality, completeness and timeliness of documentation.
  • Liaise with engineering team and client team to arrange access for third party contractors in accordance with the work schedule.
  • Review relevant RAMS, and ensure the RAMS are approved in a timely manner, before arranging access to site.
  • Validate all necessary information is provided for permits and RAMS.
  • Issue, monitor and sign off closure of permits to work in accordance with site procedure.
  • Support and review third party contractor job / permit packs in preparation for works being carried out.
  • Liaise with relevant authorised personnel to organise supplementary permits and isolation certificates (electrical, pressure systems, confined space etc) in preparation for works being carried out.
  • Produce weekly management reports reflecting RAMS, SSOW and access status and provide analysis on trends to drive continuous improvement in this area
  • Ensure RAMS and SSOW documentation is maintained and readily available using company systems.
  • Contribute to the QHSE and compliance audit and assurance programme as required.
  • Any other administrative activity as instructed by the line manager relevant to the team work output.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Formal qualification in Health and Safety (such as IOSH or NEBOSH).
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of RAMS, SSOW and permit to work systems.
  • Good all round technical knowledge of building services and relevant processes.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Excel skills to include basic functions, v-lookups, etc.
  • Experience of using Concept, Maximo or similar CAFM system.
  • Well-developed communication skills enabling the individual to work with Senior Managers, clients, suppliers, and staff of all levels and abilities.
  • Must be detail conscious, with an accurate and methodical in approach.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Able to work on more than one task at any given time.
  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and promote a sense of team spirit and good morale within the office.
  • Calm manner able to work under pressure and against changing demands and priorities.
