Job Title: HSE Manager – Health safety and Environmental Manager.
Location: Pontypridd
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Bonus up to 12.5% DOE

Roles and Responsibilities:
Safety Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Lead safety initiatives, conduct regular safety audits, and collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Health and Wellbeing: Promote employee health and wellbeing by implementing health programs and initiatives. Provide guidance on ergonomics, mental health, and physical wellbeing to enhance employee performance and satisfaction.
Environmental Compliance: Oversee environmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations. Identify opportunities for sustainability improvements and implement waste reduction and energy conservation measures.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards. Ensure the organization complies with all legal and regulatory requirements related to safety, health, and the environment.
Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans and emergency procedures. Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Key Skills:
HSE Expertise: Proven experience in managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) functions within food, FMCG, or pharmaceutical supply sectors.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards, including HSE, FDA, and GMP, and the ability to apply them effectively.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams and drive a culture of safety and compliance.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve complex SHE issues.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey HSE concepts and requirements clearly to employees at all levels and engage stakeholders.
