Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Days Only Monday – Friday (No Weekends)

One of Wrexham’s most prestigious packaging manufacturers are currently looking to expand their engineering department with the key acquisition of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.  Trusted by leading supermarkets and major brands, this business can offer stability / security and opportunities for long term career development. You will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and identifying improvement activities to help support drive business growth

Role and Responsibilities:

• Planning and undertaking preventative and scheduled maintenance activities
• Responding to breakdowns
• Diagnosing faults and effecting repairs
• To generate ideas and participate in Continuous Improvement activities
• Undertaking mechanical and electrical fault finding on a wide range of kit including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, forming machines, bending presses, packaging equipment etc

Qualification and Experience:

• Previous experience of working in a Multi-skilled Maintenance role
• Capable of mechanical fault finding
• Experience working in either the Packaging or heavy industry would be preferable
• Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3

Salary and Further Information:

• A starting salary of £35,000
• Day shift - No Weekend Work
• Company pension
