Tate are recruiting someone to support the planning, coordination and delivery of student recruitment events at the University of Southampton, ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students and visitors. The role will provide day-to-day supervision of administrative processes, student ambassadors and event support activities, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of recruitment events including Open Days, Visit Days and other on-campus activities.
  • Supervise Student Recruitment Events Administrators, student ambassadors and casual event staff.
  • Allocate workloads, provide guidance and support team members to meet deadlines and service standards.
  • Liaise with academic departments, professional services teams and external partners to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Monitor event bookings, resources, budgets and operational arrangements.
  • Support the recruitment, training and scheduling of student ambassadors.
  • Gather and analyse feedback to identify improvements and enhance the visitor experience.
  • Produce reports and maintain accurate records relating to event performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, applicants and their supporters.
  • Support wider student recruitment activities as required.

 

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or events-based role.
  • Experience supervising staff, volunteers or student ambassadors.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable
  • Experience within Higher Education, recruitment or events.
  • Experience using CRM or booking systems.
  • Experience producing reports and analysing feedback/data.
  • Line management or team leadership experience.
