Tate are recruiting someone to support the planning, coordination and delivery of student recruitment events at the University of Southampton, ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students and visitors. The role will provide day-to-day supervision of administrative processes, student ambassadors and event support activities, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of recruitment events including Open Days, Visit Days and other on-campus activities.
- Supervise Student Recruitment Events Administrators, student ambassadors and casual event staff.
- Allocate workloads, provide guidance and support team members to meet deadlines and service standards.
- Liaise with academic departments, professional services teams and external partners to ensure events run smoothly.
- Monitor event bookings, resources, budgets and operational arrangements.
- Support the recruitment, training and scheduling of student ambassadors.
- Gather and analyse feedback to identify improvements and enhance the visitor experience.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records relating to event performance.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective students, applicants and their supporters.
- Support wider student recruitment activities as required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or events-based role.
- Experience supervising staff, volunteers or student ambassadors.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable
- Experience within Higher Education, recruitment or events.
- Experience using CRM or booking systems.
- Experience producing reports and analysing feedback/data.
- Line management or team leadership experience.
