API Integration Specialist – (Hybrid/Milton Keynes) - OUTSIDE IR35
We are looking for an API Integration Specialist to be part of our Manged Service team to help deliver on an exciting new project. The project is set to run from Milton Keynes (Hybrid) for the next 2-3 years. In the first instance this will be a 11/12 month contract at a day rate of £450 per day (outside IR35).
As the API integration specialist, you will provide proactive integration API development and support. You will be working with numerous internal teams to achieve successful outcomes for our clients. You will be supporting and developing client integrations.
Excellent technical knowledge of API’s is required, preferably using Postman or similar tools. Ideally you will have a passion to work in an Agile, Lean environment.
You should have the following skills and capabilities:-
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in developing and managing API integrations including REST, SOAP Web APIs
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience with different authentication methods for APIs
• Knowhow with developing wrappers for complex API
• Ideally, at least 2 years of experience with Redhat 3 scale and AWS API Gateway features such as encryption, encoding etc
• At least 2 years of experience and familiarity with cognitive, automation, and related emerging technologies and techniques
• Experience with POSTMAN, C# and .NET framework would be advantageous
• Previous exposure to SQL Databases and SQL Server Management Studio
• Extensive exposure and experience to REST API technologies and JSON payloads
• At least 2 years of experience with Broad-based general technology ecosystem
• Previous integration journey expertise and experience, both internally and with external clients – demonstrable experience to integration journeys, including engaging with external developers
• Ability to understand and communicate the concepts of the solution. This includes network requirements, event monitoring solution, etc and the associated integration bridges between multiple systems
• Superb ability to problem solve
• Stakeholder Management experience and ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability and experience of multi-tasking and working on multiple projects simultaneously
The ideal person will have a passion for working in an Agile, Lean and DevOps environment. This is a client driven project and will require you to be comfortable working in a fast paced innovative environment.
