Salary: GBP0 - GBP85000 per annum + Highly flexible for the right individual
Group Manager (Snr Operations/ Board Level) – Investment Banking
Opening for a Group Manager to work for our prestigious Investment Banking Client.
Reporting directly to the COO. As the Group Manager, you will have overall responsibility for managing multiple operational teams with a mixture of hands on management and strategic planning.
The bank has numerous global projects. Your role will be to work with vendors and regulators on strategic projects along with developing and coaching staff to maximise their output.
Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple teams conducting Client Processing activities.
• Responsible for resource allocation and for ensuring projects are on schedule and to budget
• Provide a consistent client service level model and ensures that all service levels are consistently satisfied or exceeded.
• Develop policies and processes to ensure the volume of work produced meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve the experience for all stakeholders
• Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
• Set departmental budgets and conducts resource planning.
• Develop business plans for team/group operations.

Role Requirements:
• Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams ideally across multiple locations
• Direct experience of dealing with a wide range of employee relations activities
• Strong operational experience in related financial services discipline ideally clearing and settlement
• Demonstrable understanding of FCA, CASS and CBI CAR rules
• Strong systems skills/ability to define MI/ manipulate data (ideally intermediate+ Excel)
• Senior management/Board experience

Ideally you will have demonstrable experience of managing operations teams in several different areas. Having a broad spectrum across banking operations will be highly beneficial. (E.g. funds, corporate actions, settlements, clearing, transfer agency, Equities etc.)
Experience with employee relations is also essential to this role. This can range from PIPS, grievances, disciplinaries and general staffing issues.
This is a Senior Management role and will be suited to someone familiar operating at VP/ Director Level. You will have a good understanding of CASS and FCA regs.
Salary is highly negotiable. The bank are willing to be highly flexible in order to get the right person onboard
