Data Integration Designer/Architect - 11-12 months – (Milton Keynes) - OUTSIDE IR35
We are looking for a Data Integration Designer/Architect to be part of our Manged Service team to help deliver on an exciting new project. The project is due to run for the next 2-3 years. In the first instance this will be a 11/12 month contract at a day rate of £450 per day. The contract will be outside IR35 for the duration.
In this position, you will produce data solution and integration designs which can be iteratively created in an Agile framework. You will be working in collaboration with the Head of Programme Solutions and Enterprise Architect to assemble the strategic data road map for our client across the business and to ensure that we and they are utilising the correct tools, products, solutions and processes.
Requirements
• 3 years plus of working experience with data warehouse and business intelligence related architecture
• Proven Experience with Data Architecture or Integration Architecture
• Experience across a wide variety of solutions and technologies, spanning in-house bespoke development, third party, COTS packages and integration.
• Appreciation of architecture frameworks and notation; e.g. TOGAF
• A good understanding of modern BI and Analytics technologies
• A good understanding of data integration technologies
• Previous demonstrable experience in a data design role working specifically in an environment where you must provide input into data warehouse solutions design and data modelling activities.
• Proven experience in data modelling and data integration tools
• A good appreciation of modern API design and security
• Knowledge of data warehouse design methodologies in addition to excellent data analysis skills
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT technology and tools (Informatica) and knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Oracle Cloud) or on-prem data warehouse solutions (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience in writing SQLs and stored procedures
• Experience working with RDBMS (Snowflake) and NoSQL database like DynamoDB or MongoDB
• Hands-on SQL experience
• Experience in working as part of data delivery and Agile teams using multiple delivery methodologies, incl. Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall
• Ability to understand and relay complex data-related issues in a simple and easy to understand manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence, inspire and motivate at all levels
• Experience of leading integration and data migration in close collaboration with the EAIP and client project teams
• Assist with all internal and external 3rd party relationships involved in the end-to-end integration
• Knowledge of Oracle Apex beneficial
• Good understanding of integration architecture and patterns
• Knowledge of and experience with multiple integration and API management technologies
• Develop a close understanding of our client data direction and strategy
• Be an analytical thinker who possesses a strong understanding of the data life cycle.
