Quantity Surveyor – Stoke on Trent – Up To £50,000 per annum
We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a a family run construction company who have been in operation for over 25 years and are experienced in many construction sectors including residential, design and build, healthcare, education and heritage.
Overview of the Quantity Surveyor Role:
- Salary Range, based on experience is up to £50,000 per annum
- Company car/ car allowance
- Pension
- Holiday TBC
Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:
- Estimating/preparing tenders
- Managing of sub-contractor accounts
- Monitor contract progress and report all changes that will impact costs and time scales
- Pre and post contract work
- Monthly application for payments and valuation reports
- Final accounts
- Monthly project cost and cash flow
- Cost reporting to the directors and senior management
- Good knowledge of building and construction processes
- Attend meetings with clients and site visits when needed
Requirements to be a Quantity Surveyor
- Experience in construction industry
- Good level of QS experience
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Full driving licence
- Good IT skills and proficient in MS Office
- Commercially aware
