Technical IT Software Support Analyst – Derby/Flexible

Technical IT Application Support Analyst required for leading technology business based in Derby, where you will be responsible for providing high quality, low volume, technical support for complex software systems. This a brand-new hire for the company, as they expand and develop their team/knowledge base in this area, and launch new leading software products! The role will be based 1/2 days in the office, the rest from home.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with technically challenging software/applications, who is looking for the next step in the IT career!

There are also opportunities for candidates who are looking for night shift work (starting between 6pm – 8am – fully remote working).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote support to support software commission activities, or to facilitate incident resolution
• Support and maintain monitoring solutions for the companies environments and/or applications
• Support innovation and advise on the implementation of new technologies
• Engage with internal teams around technical solutions and requirements, and implementation of best practices
• Interact with internal subject matter experts on incidents and service requests that require an advanced level of technical input
• Clearly document issues, requests, and solutions within the ITSM system

Key Skills of the role

• Experience working in a technically challenging software/application support role
• High level of customer support focus, ability to work with a range of end users
• Experience working with on-premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments would be highly desirable.
• Attitude of learning and development, and with a real focus of teamwork (close knit team)
• Experience and knowledge of networking would be highly desirable also.

Salary

The salary/package for this position is flexible between £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and flexible working opportunities.
