IT Application Support Analyst – Finance Systems – Manchester

Application Support Analyst required for a leading organisation based in Manchester to be responsible for the support and development of the businesses new financial system. You will be the subject matter expert within the company, ensuring the timely resolution of incidents, service requests and problems, ensuring Service Desk engineers are trained accordingly in support of your role. Along with this you will have involvement in the development of the new system.

The ideal candidate for this position will have worked within an Application support role previously, ideally supporting financial systems and have excellent communications skills along with stakeholder management skills. Key skills and responsibilities

  • Provide first class application support to the firm in resolving incidents and service requests relating to the new system.
  • Work with the wider IT teams to implement strategic developments within the application.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to understand issues, requirements, and expectations.
  • You will be a technical SME for the system and an escalation point for the IT Service Desk.
  • Proactively identify trends and potential problems and respond appropriately.
  • Support and mentor Service Desk engineers in relation to incidents and service requests concerning the system.
  • Provide excellent customer service, contributing to the wider IT Service Desk customer service statistics.
  • Comply with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Use, maintain and create knowledge documents in the Service Management platform
  • Liaise with product and platform vendors in relation to both operational problem solving and strategic development work.

The salary my client is offering for this position is between £30,000 and £35,000 depending on experience.
