Data Scientist – Data Analysis/Machine Learning – Central London

Data Scientist required for a growing organisation based in Central London, close to Euston Station, where you will play a key part in providing data-driven solutions that enable the business to make better decisions. You will be working as part of the Data Insights team where you will be able to work with large and complex data sets to solve business problems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data analysis, machine learning and data visualisation. It would also be highly desirable if you have AWS and Python experience.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  • Produce data-driven models that support our clients in the improved delivery of services to their customers, whether that is improved performance, efficiency, integration or sustainability
  • Produce models that are relevant, impactful and reliable
  • Build and maintain the end-to-end data pipelines and code repositories used by the Data Insights team, aiming for effective automation
  • Work with the rest of the business to ensure that the models become part of our integrated toolkit of solutions available to customers, supporting each other to improve the model’s outputs and the team’s quality and assurance approaches

Key Skills of the role:

  • Practical experience of applying data science techniques to complex business problems:
    • Feature engineering
    • Statistical data analysis
    • Data visualisation
    • Machine learning
  • Experience with tools and frameworks for data science activities
  • Design and build of real-world, commercially effective solutions, utilising machine learning
  • An appreciation of AWS is an advantage
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into business requirements
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills

Salary

The salary for this position is flexible between £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, for the right person, plus excellent benefits and fantastic company culture.
