IT Support Engineer – Dorset/Flexible - Near Wool/Dorchester/Weymouth
IT Support Engineer required for a global business with offices across the UK and globally, where you will be responsible for providing on-site and remote support to a range of internal users. Working as part of a small IT support team, you will provide day-to-day operational support, including 2nd line support, some networking and service monitoring, as well as supporting projects with the rest of the infrastructure team. The role will be 3 days in the office, the rest from home.
This opportunity would ideally suit an IT support professional who is looking for a new challenge in a friendly and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support experience, across desktop, applications and technical support to employees across a different site locations.
- Within the role, you will be mainly responsible for IT Support requests and User Service requests, mainly printer installs, driver issues, handheld scanner issues, dealing with Citrix issues, Microsoft Office product support.
- Due to the nature of the business improving it’s internal systems and digital customer journey, you will assist on project work, such as rolling out new hardware and providing some additional training where required.
- Work with the wider IT Service Desk Team, to ensure an effective and helpful customer experience for internal colleagues.
Key Skills of the role
- Previous experience as an IT Support Analyst, IT Technician or IT Field Engineer.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with server support and networking (Routers, Swtiches etc) would be highly desirable for this role.
- Previous experience of computer support, preferably with previous knowledge of hardware support.
- Flexibility to provide remote and on-support, and some weekend work when required.
Salary
The salary/package for this position is flexible between £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, excellent benefits and flexible working opportunities.
