IT Infrastructure Engineer/Lead – 3^rd/4^th Line - Worcester

IT Infrastructure Engineer/Lead required for a leading organisation based in Worcester, where you will be responsible for supporting a range of network, hardware and software issues for various internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for leading a team, and will play a key part in managing their welfare and development ensuring high levels of motivation. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Technologies, alongside experience working with Networks, VMware, Storage and Back-up, and various OS environments. 

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Provide 3^rd/4^th line support through carrying out appropriate customer problem solving activities, whilst working with external support where necessary.
• Diagnose faults within technical systems and take appropriate action where necessary.
• Manage and work with suppliers/partners to deliver an effective and efficient seamless service provision.
• Lead a team, manage their welfare and development and ensure high levels of motivation.
• Co-ordinate the work of the team, directing activities, monitoring progress and managing competing demands.

Key Skills of the role

• Proven experience in problem solving, solutions development and system management.
• Significant experience of supporting a diverse user base on both hardware and software related issues.
• Experience working with a range of Microsoft technologies, alongside experience with Networks, VMWare, Storage and Back-up, and various OS environments.
• Extensive experience working within physical and virtual teams, helping manage workloads.
• Ability to drive complex application recoveries in a high pressured area.
• ITIL certification and knowledge required.

Salary

The salary for this position is up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on the experience of the candidate, plus benefits.
