Position: Design Team Lead
Design Team Lead required to be responsible for design, development, assurance and implementations of solutions for a wide variety of requirements raised by the business. The requirements will vary significantly in nature, typically being supportive of more efficient, safe and rapid business processing across the enterprise. For the next three to five years there will also be a strong focus on transformative projects supporting the SEL contract.
This role is for an experienced solution designer/architect that has had responsibility leading a design team in complex environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting design standards, methodology and approach. They will also be responsible for managing the team of solution designers and representing the solution design function to the Enterprise Portfolio function.
Key Skills
Experience of at least one of the following:
- health system support and administration.
- health system build and configuration management.
- system integration (pref. with laboratory software / hospital systems).
- Experience of setting and using design standards and approaches
- Experience of leading a team of designers/architects
- Knowledge of best practices in IT and working within in an ITIL Framework.
- To provide a professional front when dealing with colleagues at all levels.
- Good general knowledge of workflows within pathology and/or healthcare settings.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Training certification from a recognised health system supplier.
- HL7/Message Based Integration Certification
- Experience of health system integration with laboratory software.
Salary: £70,000 and £80,000 per annum plus benefits.
