Position: Technical Architect – Healthcare Systems
This role requires an experienced professional who has a thorough practical knowledge and technical skills in various disciplines such as high level technical design. The role would ideally suit a technical architect or technical project manager looking to move into architecture.
The role holder will be a member of the infrastructure team, reporting to the Infrastructure Team Lead. The post holder will be expected to work closely with other IT departments as well as the Enterprise Project Portfolio (EPP), customer support, operational and clinical.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand company needs to help define system specifications
- Plan and design the structure of a technology solution
- Communicate system requirements to software development teams
- Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods, based on strategic direction.
- Oversee assigned programs (e.g., conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
- Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
- Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
Key Skills
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Technical Project Manager
- Understanding of strategic IT solutions
- Familiarity with various operation systems, such as Windows/Unix, and databases such as MySQL.
- Experience in cloud technologies, such as VMware.
Desirable skills
Salary: £60,000 and £70,000 per annum plus benefits.
