Digital Solution Architect – Integration/Technical Design – Central London

Digital Solution Architect required for a well-known organisation based in Central London, near St Pauls. You will be required to provide advice and support in relation to digital solution architecture and advise on a wide variety of projects and solutions across a multi-million-pound solution portfolio. You will be the advocate for agile architecture and solution decisions, advising on integrations between systems, including how to plan, document and test these effectively.

The ideal candidate will have an in depth understanding of all aspects of the digital technology, integrations and solution landscapes. Please note, this role is a Fixed Term Contract ranging between 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Engage with IT to ensure technology decisions are consistent with IT architecture principles and the approved target architecture.
• Advise on technology options based on market best-practise as well as functional, non-functional and wider business requirements and considerations.
• You will operate across streams, ensuring that where technologies overlap in their functionality, and where integration are needed, both the streams and IT are aware and involved in making the right choices for the business and underlying technical architecture as to how technology is deployed.
• Work with internal Design Authority, providing support with regards to technology assurance, fitness for purpose, and working with Delivery colleagues to give advice on best practise architecture and solutions in their area of expertise.
• Advise on dependencies and issues in development by working with internal stakeholders to advise streams on development overlaps, issues and dependencies – ensuring that IT has a strong and consistent view on programme planning, and can suitably advise the business based on realistic and achievable roadmaps.

Key Skills of the Role:

• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the digital technology, integrations and solution landscape, with demonstrable commitment to keeping this knowledge up to date.
• Experience in providing solution architecture advice, prototyping and support in digital environments.
• Experience in multidisciplinary architectures including business, data and information, technical infrastructure, cloud and software development
• Experience in programmatic planning and risk/dependency management, specifically across significant agile portfolios of digital delivery
• Experience in working with Technical Design Authorities in advising across a spectrum of solution issues
• Understanding of the business change challenges of technology and an ability to take wider business considerations into account when giving advice
• Practical and proven knowledge of solution and data integration, with understanding of the challenges in this and typical architectures and use cases around digital integration
• Proven expertise, advocacy and implementation of agile architectures
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Salary

The salary for this position is up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits. Please note, this role is a Fixed Term Contract ranging between 12-18 months.
