Junior IT Project Manager – Nottingham/Flexible

Junior IT Project Manager required for a rapidly growing organisation based in Nottingham, where you will be responsible for delivering small to medium sized projects. You will be responsible for assisting in the overall delivery and support of projects in accordance to deadlines and budgets. This will include the reporting and coordination of the resources required to deliver projects in line with the plan. The role will be around two days in the office in Nottingham, so very flexible.

I am ideally looking for someone wanting to move from a coordinator into a PM role, but you must have MSP/Fast-paced multiple project experience in IT. This is an excellent opportunity to gain the experience to make the next step into being a Project Manager. You will be a real self-starter who is keen to learn and progress.

Key Responsibilities of the role

• Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Assist in the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Proactively manage changes to project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
• Drive and push the delivery elements and manage the dependencies and handoffs.
• Organise and deliver progress reports, change requests and presentations to ensure smooth project progression.
• Facilitate and organise project meetings

Key Skills of the role

• Excellent level of IT project coordinator experience, open to candidates from a variety of sectors and type of projects (infrastructure, application etc). MSP/Fast-paced multiple project experience in IT preferred.
• Proven ability to work to tight and changing timelines.
• Ability to effectively communicate on all management levels.
• Analytical and problem solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of planning, organising and managing own workload with limited supervision.
• Experience supporting small and medium sized, and complex, projects.

Salary

The salary for the position is between £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Plus excellent benefits and flexible working.
