Software Development Manager - Agile – Remote Working/UK

Software Development Manager required for an established organisation based across the UK, where you will be responsible for leading the development within the organisation. You will be responsible for leading the development team to ensure they follow best practice Agile delivery techniques and develop software in line with best practice. The role will be 100% based from home. This is an excellent time to join the organisation as they invest in their systems.

The ideal candidate will have track record of agile software development management, alongside experience of managing large & small scale projects. Experience working with remote teams would also be desirable. The role would suit a software development manager that is comfortable with code reviews and advising developers on best practice.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Lead on software and technical delivery using Agile practices and techniques including Scrum.
  • Guide and mentor development teams, locally and remote, covering predominantly the Microsoft stack – C#, .NET, SQL.
  • Ensure the end to end SDLC lifecycle is agreed and followed.
  • Ensure solution quality and development standards are upheld and continuously improved.
  • Provides high level support for all IT solutions to ensure bugs and critical defects are resolved in a timely manner.

Key Skills of the role

  • Previous software development management experience, working with both front, back and data developers ideally.
  • An understanding of a range of programming languages, including .NET, C# & SQL.
  • Agile/Scrum Delivery experience
  • Strong client, project sponsor and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • An experienced leader, with an ability to motivate and engage both technical and business teams.

Salary

The salary for this position is flexible between £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
