IT Development Manager – Stoke On Trent/Flexible
Development Manager required for an established and growing organisation based in Stoke on Trent, where you will play a key part in the development and application of innovative solutions/software, looking at low code and automation solutions across the business. The overall aim of the position is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of key business processes and core systems.
The ideal candidate will have previous software development management experience, with an interest and desire to work low-code and automation solutions. Experience with UI Path, PowerApps or Blue Prism would be highly desirable for this role.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Lead in the development of an overall strategy and vision that utilises low code & automation technology.
- Manage the end to end development lifecycle for low code and automation making use of best practice agile and DevOps approaches.
- Work with internal business functions and change teams to effectively deploy the solutions into the mainstream business.
- Proactively make use of monitoring tools to assure the performance & stability of solutions.
- Lead a highly motivated, capable and integrated team – creating a stimulating work environment that is clear on expectations and rewards where appropriate.
Key Skills of the role
- Experience managing a small/medium sized software development team/scrum
- Hands-on development of low code and automation products, such as UI Path or Blue Prism or PowerApps.
- Management of end to end delivery lifecycle from creation to overall delivery, alongside experience of Agile development.
- Prior knowledge of working with third-party technology partners, and experience gained working with Microsoft technology.
- Desire to work with low code and automation solutions/software
Salary
The salary for this position is between £55,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and flexible working.
