Linux Administrator – Cloud – Fully Remote – Up to 65k
Linux Administrator required for a leading organisation based in the UK, where you will play a key role in the securing websites and web services, including assistance with security related aspects of application development. Within the role, you will get the opportunity to innovate solutions and development approaches to support the business. Working as part of a small team, you will provide day-to-day support, as well as project specific software development and implement strategic IT solutions across the company.
The ideal candidate will have previous Linux & Windows administration experience, and have good experience with Cloud & Web technologies, alongside experience working with scripting languages for system management.
Key Skills required for the role
- Previous experience in the provision of IT Cloud Services & Solutions.
- Experience advising and creating cloud services architectures that would best fit a project’s requirements, within a DevOps framework and application lifecycle.
- Linux experience; configuring, securing, monitoring and managing cloud services and internal virtual machines with particular focus on web sites and web services e.g. data driven websites commonly serving temporal/spatial data, modelling dashboards and Software as a Service.
- Experience of development languages such as Python, Fortran, C++, SQL.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Salary
The salary for this position is up to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
