IT Infrastructure Engineer – 3rd Line – Birmingham/Flexible
Salary £45,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer for a leading organisation based in Birmingham, with much of the role being based from home if candidates prefer home-working. As an Infrastructure engineer/analyst you be responsible for providing a high level of technical support to internal users on projects/BAU. The role will be 2/3 days in the office, with a flexibility working policy.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical ability and previous experience in IT Support/Infrastructure Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer role, and have technical experience with Windows architecture, DNS, SCCM, Patching/Patching Management.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- To provide infrastructure support (Hardware, software and networking)
- Providing 3rdline support from hardware, software, and network to all teams
- Provide guidance to 2ndline support team, on BAU and project work
- Working with project teams to ensure documentation is maintained and up to date.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
Key Skills required:
- Previous experience in an Infrastructure/3rd Line position, preferably within a medium/large scale organisation
- SCCM and DNS experience
- Patching/Patching Management experience
- Previous experience in an 2nd/3rdline IT support/IT infrastructure role
- Knowledge of Active Directory/user group management
- Able to perform complex troubleshooting
- TCP/IP and Networking Experience
- Full driving licence
Salary:
Our client is offering a salary of £45,000 – £50,000 per annum, with a variety of excellent benefits available on offer.
