Senior PMO Analyst – Stoke-on-Trent

Senior PMO Analyst required for an exciting organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent town centre, where you will play a key part in providing day-to-day task management guidance to PMO Analysts, whilst providing PMO Support on behalf of the PMO Manager. You will design and develop new processes to gather portfolio data to enable core analysis and utilise stakeholder management skills to ensure colleagues across the team understand the processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a project or change environment, and will have experience of line management or coaching/mentoring experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day task management guidance to PMO Analyst and PMO Support roles on behalf of the PMO Manager.
  • Utilise experience of PMO and change environments, apply your methodology expertise to support and upskill PMO colleagues and provide guidance on project/programme/portfolio best practice.
  • Design and develop new processes to gather portfolio data to enable core analysis and utilise stakeholder management skills to ensure colleagues ensure the processes.
  • Lead the resource tracking process, supported by the PMO Analyst, to provide forward-view of shared resources across the business.
  • Track the status of all projects based on updates from project managers on a weekly basis, including the extraction of data from plans, risk registers and benefit realisation profiles.

Key Skills of the role

  • Experience of working within a project or change environment, with demonstrable experience in governance and methodology best practice.
  • Experience of line management or coaching/mentoring experience.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills to balance day-to-day task management, guidance and PMO task requirements based on risk, time sensitives and importance.
  • Passionate about creating and delivering solutions to improve governance practices and to drive high-quality activity through the assessment of project data.
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
  • Keen attention to detail and desire to develop good relationships with PMO team members.

Salary

The salary for this position is between £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits inc bonus and career progression opportunities.
