IT Technical Architect – Worcester

IT Technical Architect required for an organisation based near Worcester, where you will play a key role in defining and governing how technical solutions are designed, configured and implemented. You will manage and maintain the overall IT technical architecture blueprint for the organisation, and play a crucial part in the long-term vision of the IT team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of designing and architecting technical solutions within a large complex organisation.

Key responsibilities of the role

• Define and govern how technical solutions are designed, configured and implemented.
• Ensure that the IT architecture meets all relevant standards and demonstrates consistency design across all IT related programmes and projects.
• Take responsibility for understanding strategic business requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and recommend technical options.
• Manage and maintain the IT technical architecture blueprint for the organisation.
• Fulfil the role of key influencer and decision maker in respect of IT governance, strategy, planning and standard-setting.

Key Skills of the role

• Extensive experience of designing and architecting technical solutions within a large complex organisation.
• Ability to think strategically whilst having a strong focus on technology and service delivery.
• Experience in leading and supporting other architects to deliver a cohesive end-to-end architecture.
• Ability to take ownership of the solution design from inception to delivery.
• Substantial knowledge of IT enterprise architecture principles gained through significant experience of solutions delivery.

Salary

The salary for this position is up to £66,000 per annum, plus an excellent benefits package.
