Head of Systems Delivery – 3PL/E-Fulfilment – Midlands

Head of Systems Delivery required for an established organisation who are currently progressing through an exciting period of transformation, where you will play a key part in the effective delivery of systems change by managing requirements analysis and specification, systems testing and configuration/implementation. Within the role, you will ensure the delivery of IT projects and system changes, whilst ensuring systems meet non-functional business requirements.

The role can be a home-based position, but I am ideally looking to speak with Midlands based candidates for this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a 3PL/fulfilment/warehousing environment, and will come from a project/programme management background.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake requirements analysis considering business and customer needs while taking into account the future product development strategies to arrive at sustainable and fit for purpose solutions.
• Ensure sufficient systems testing takes place aligned to best practise but taking a risk-based approach to ensure timely delivery of systems change at an acceptable level of quality.
• Produce systems specification documentation to be used for software development and testing plans.
• Undertake systems configuration to ensure systems are setup to meet business requirements and ways of working for specific clients and operations.
• Manage the systems delivery team to ensure consistent high performance and succession plans are in place.

Key Skills of the role

• Experience gained from working in a 3PL/fulfilment/warehousing background is essential for this role.
• Experience in business facing roles, analysis of requirements, testing and implementing business systems change, managing and executing hands-on requirements analysis.
• Experience implementing small and large IT change through BAU and IT project structures.
• Previous line management and mentoring knowledge and experience.
• Highly effective communicator and team-builder with outstanding customer management skills.
• A problem solver who displays high levels of resilience.

Salary

The salary/package for this position is between £65,000 – £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including car allowance, and flexible working.
