IT Operations Manager – Logistics – West Sussex/Flexible
IT Operations Manager required for leading logistics organisation, where you will play a major part in overseeing IT Operations during a time of exciting growth and transformation. Within the role, you will oversee day-to-day activities of the IT Ops Team, ensuring systems, services & infrastructure work reliably and securely. The role will be based 2/3 days in the office in West Sussex (Near Crawley).
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an IT Manager, preferably within a fast-paced environment such as Logistics, distribution etc
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees day-to-day activities of the IT Operations team, ensuring systems, services and infrastructure work reliably, securely and scale to meet the needs of the business
- Provide high quality customer service, ensuring incidents, service requests, problem records and project/change requests are managed appropriately within the team
- Performance management of existing 3rd party IT vendors, including regular service reviews
- Leads engagement with new IT suppliers, and supports commercial negotiations
- Management and procurement of IT assets and software licences, ensuring efficient use, value for money and spend within budget
Key Skills of the role
- Proven experience as an IT Manager, or similar role
- ITIL Foundation certified (desirable)
- Good knowledge of business processes within 3PL / Logistics sector (desirable)
- Good practical knowledge of computer systems (hardware and software), cloud / physical infrastructure and networks
- Proven experience of managing 3rd party supplier management
- Proven experience of continuous improvement and process refinement
Salary
The salary/package for this position is flexible between £50,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and flexible working opportunities.
