Job Title: Pipelayer Operative – HS2 Project

Company Overview:
We are currently recruiting for experienced Pipelayer Operatives to join our team on the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Banbury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term work on one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Laying and joining various types of pipework (e.g. drainage, ducting, water mains).

Trenching, backfilling, and ensuring correct gradients and alignment.

Working to engineering drawings and method statements.

Ensuring pipe bedding and surrounds are installed to specification.

Collaborating closely with Groundworkers, Plant Operators, and Supervisors.

Maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout all operations.
Requirements:
-
Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred)

Proven experience in pipelaying within a civil engineering or infrastructure environment.

Strong understanding of drainage systems and utility installation practices.

Ability to work in confined spaces or deep excavations when required.

Full UK Driving Licence – essential due to site access limitations.
Desirable:
-
Confined Spaces training or certification
-
Dumper/Roller or other CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
-
Previous experience working on HS2 or large-scale infrastructure projects
Working Hours:
-
Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as required by the project.
