Project Engineer - MEICA (HR06) Tonbridge, England

Our client is a fully integrated civil MEICA design and delivery service providing innovative, sustainable and quality solutions to the water industry. They have a history of engineering excellence. Their services include civil, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation, design and manufacture of Control Panels, MCC’s, PLC’s, SCADA and automation systems.
They have a very healthy forward order book with projects across the group through to 2025. This is a growth period and they are looking for motivated people to join the business as it grows. It is an exciting time to join their team.
They have an immediate requirement to appoint 2 MEICA Project Managers to work as part of multi-disciplinary projects in the South East clean water non-infrastructure industry.
Reporting to a Project Manager and/or the Framework Manger, you will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of electrical and mechanical installations during construction in projects on site and in the office. You will be able to lead, manage and interface with all aspects of the project, inclusive of sub-contractors, materials suppliers and commercial reporting. You will be able to create and maintain cost and resource loaded programmes for weekly maintenance of the project environment. You will be able to maintain change management processes. Knowledge of NEC contracts is a bonus for this role.
Candidates ideally will be qualified in either Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Civil engineering with demonstrable experience in MEICA loaded projects. Demonstrable site management experience in a multi-disciplinary construction environment is required. Candidates will be able to understand essential systems and have a broad brush understanding of bolt on disciplines to clean water projects inclusive of sundry elements related to the clean water industry. You must be dynamic in your approach to your work, dedicated, a capable leader and competent engineer.
• Related engineering Electrical, Mechanical or Civil engineering qualification Level 5 NVQ or equivalent with good experience on site in Water or a related industry.
• Demonstrable track record in engineering site management
• Microsoft Office literate preferably with ECDL
• 2 D and or 3D CAD literate BIM/REVIT is an advantage but not necessary
• Commercial reporting in excel
• Programme management in MS Project P6 and advantage
• IOSH or NEBOSH general certificate an advantage
