Working Foreman – Structures – HS2

Rate: £26.17 per hour

MSS Infrastructure are currently recruiting an experienced Working Foreman to join a major HS2 structures project in Kenilworth.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operatives working on structural activities.
• Lead the team and allocate daily tasks effectively.
• Assist with hands-on construction activities when required.
• Oversee structural works including concrete, shuttering, reinforcement and associated works.
• Read and work from drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Ensure works are completed to the required quality and programme.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Monitor site progress and report any issues or delays.
• Ensure RAMS and site procedures are followed at all times.
• Carry out regular checks to ensure safe working practices are maintained.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Complete daily briefings and communicate instructions clearly to the workforce.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Working Foreman / Foreman within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong experience working on structures projects.
• Good knowledge of concrete, reinforcement and shuttering works.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Previous experience supervising and leading a site team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Relevant CSCS Gold / Black card.
• SMSTS and First Aid Certificate required
• Previous HS2 or major infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
