Slinger / Signaller – HS2 Kenilworth (Nights)

£28.16 – £29.16 per hour (Rate variations are dependent upon shift pattern, assignment requirements, engagement type and, where applicable, relevant experience and qualifications.)

3 Week contract with Tier 1 workforce supplier to HS2. We require 6 Slingers to work Night Shift

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Slinger / Signaller on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller qualification.
• Good knowledge of lifting operations and lifting accessories.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with crane operators and site teams.
• Experience working night shifts is desirable.
• Previous HS2 or major infrastructure experience is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely in a busy site environment.

MSS Infrastructure are currently looking for 6 experienced Slinger / Signallers to join our team working on a major HS2 project in Kenilworth.

We are looking for reliable and experienced individuals who are confident working around heavy plant and lifting operations and can maintain a strong focus on safety throughout night-shift works.

About the Role

As a Slinger / Signaller, you will be responsible for safely directing lifting operations, attaching and securing loads, and communicating effectively with crane operators and the wider site team.

You will be working night shifts, so a strong understanding of site safety procedures and the ability to work effectively in reduced visibility are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely sling and attach loads for lifting operations.
• Direct crane and lifting operations using recognised signals and communication methods.
• Check lifting accessories and equipment before use.
• Ensure loads are correctly secured and balanced before lifting.
• Maintain clear communication with crane operators and site teams.
• Establish and maintain safe exclusion zones around lifting operations.
• Follow lifting plans, RAMS and site procedures.
• Assist with the safe positioning and movement of materials around site.
• Identify and report any unsafe lifting practices or damaged equipment.
• Work safely around heavy plant, machinery and other site operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with HS2 and site-specific safety requirements.
