Salary: GBP24.85 - GBP25.85 per hour

X3 Crane Supervisors – HS2 Kenilworth (Nights)

£25.85 per hour (Rate variations are dependent upon shift pattern, assignment requirements, engagement type and, where applicable, relevant experience and qualifications.)

3 week contract with Tier 1 workforce supplier to Hs2.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Crane Supervisor on major construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Crane Supervisor qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting operations and lifting plans.
  • Good understanding of LOLER, lifting accessories and safe systems of work.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with crane operators and Slinger / Signallers.
  • Experience working night shifts is desirable.
  • Previous HS2 or major infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all lifting operations on site.
  • Ensure lifting activities are carried out in accordance with the approved lifting plan.
  • Coordinate crane operators, Slinger / Signallers and other site personnel.
  • Ensure lifting accessories and equipment are suitable and inspected before use.
  • Establish and maintain safe exclusion zones around lifting operations.
  • Monitor lifting operations and ensure safe working practices are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with Site Management and the wider lifting team.
  • Ensure RAMS, permits and site procedures are followed at all times.
  • Stop lifting operations if unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
  • Monitor changing site conditions throughout night shifts.
  • Assist with the coordination of crane movements and material lifting.
  • Complete relevant checks, records and handovers.
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment.

About the Role

As a Crane Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lifting operations on site, coordinating with crane operators and Slinger / Signallers, and ensuring lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with the approved lifting arrangements.

The role will be working night shifts, so candidates must be comfortable working nights and maintaining high safety standards throughout the shift.
