37 hours per week – must be available to work Monday – Wednesday and Saturday & Sunday

Temporary – until end of September

Central Bristol – fully office based

Tate are working with a local authority in their search for a Culture and Events Development Officer on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a range of markets and other cultural activities to support a local market.
  • Work with individuals, culture and event organisations, businesses and other high street stakeholders to animate and generate footfall at the market.
  • Support the development of the city’s recovery plans to re-animate the city centre and high streets, providing opportunities for everyone to participate.
  • Provide professional guidance, advice, advocacy and support to individuals, groups and organisations to enable the delivery of cultural activities and events.
  • Monitoring and reporting of funding allocations and projects

You will be responsible for ensuring that the culture and event activities developed meet the following aims:

  • Create local distinctiveness and activate and animate the selected high streets through a programme of activities
  • Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders.
  • Invest in the culture and events sector.
  • Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities.
