Our client is a leading entity in the renewable energy sector. With sites across the country and employs over 1,000 staff across the UK. They strive to be net zero by 2040 and have a clear focus on making a positive social, economical and environmental impact on the world. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their EC&I team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, you will be working alongside apprentices, EC&I engineers and the team lead
- The role is 50% office based and 50% hands on
- The job will involve completing Fault Finding, Repairs and Maintenance on Plant machinery and site Facilities
- Working on the Electrical and control equipment and systems on-site maintenance
- Working on Hydraulic, Pnuematic, Electrical and Mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Managing Contractors on site
- Assisting with the organisation and planning of maintenance activities
- Development of the CMMs system
- Helping to create Continuous Improvement in sites productivity
- Testing and calibrating of EC&I systems
- Project work mainly and Continuous Improvement Intiatives
- Equipment inspections related to HSE legislation and the site and Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC)
- Managing budgets
- Standing in as the team leader when he is unavailable
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be an experiecne Electrical or Electrically bias Maintenance Engineer
- An electrical Engineering qualification- NVQ level 3, HNC or HND
- Experience within the energy, energy from waste, process, Recycling, Oil & gas or Power Industry
- Knowledge and experience of Controls and Instrumentation
- Team lead experience would be beneficial
