AI Experimentation Engineer

About the Role

Our consulting client is seeking an experienced AI Experimentation Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a highly agile AI professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, rapidly transforming emerging ideas into scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and iterating on AI/ML experiments, evaluating different models and approaches, and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with real-world business needs and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, develop, and iterate AI/ML experiments to validate business use cases and emerging concepts.
• Build proof-of-concepts (POCs), prototypes, and minimum viable products (MVPs) that can be scaled into production-ready solutions.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and compare different AI/ML models, architectures, and approaches to identify optimal solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.
• Define experimentation frameworks, success metrics, and evaluation methodologies.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, model training workflows, and deployment strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement through iterative testing, experimentation, and feedback loops.
• Document technical approaches, findings, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, LLMs, Generative AI, agentic frameworks, and related technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–6 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related engineering roles.
• Proven experience building AI/ML solutions from concept through to production deployment.
• Strong hands-on experience with experimentation, prototyping, and rapid development cycles.
• Deep understanding of model evaluation techniques, performance metrics, and validation methodologies.
• Experience working with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and scalable AI deployment architectures.
• Ability to balance technical innovation with business objectives and commercial considerations.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale AI transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of how AI solutions are designed, built, evaluated, and operationalized within complex business environments.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
