The Role:
- Act as a Project Controls Lead for cost control, planning or reporting within the Brownfield Modification Team.
- Ability to independently provide support and guidance to Brownfield Modifications Manager throughout project lifecycle and independently and proactively identify and resolve project specific issues pertaining to be specialised area of Project Services (Cost/Planning/Reporting).
- Development of cost reporting and project schedules in Primavera P6.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Cost Control
- Build, maintain, and deliver accurate cost schedules from source data, ensuring high-quality and timely results with minimal supervision.
- Interpret stakeholder requirements and deliver cost information tailored to meet their specific needs.
- Apply technical problem-solving techniques using standard tools to generate high-quality data outputs.
- Provide cost engineering support in areas such as change control, estimating, and planning.
Planning
- Responsible for the delivery of the CTR catalogue and project baseline and for providing any associated support to Proposal / Project Manager.
- Responsible for establishing and monitoring a cost and resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan for the project.
- Generate and prepare progress reports, including earned value analysis, and identify key trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate and maintain project schedules in Primavera P6 for each project scope for Project Managers.
Competencies & Soft Skills:
- Experience in cost/project control, including developing detailed cost schedules and EAC forecasts within the energy industries or similar fields.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of project dynamics and lifecycle.
- Excellent teamworking skills.
- Good understanding of all elements of Project Controls (Project estimating, planning, scheduling, reporting, change and cost control).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Contractual appreciation and a good understanding of typical legal parameters and restraints.
- Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 Scheduling software tool.
Qualifications:
A relevant technical degree and/or equivalent membership in an appropriate professional body.
