Machining Trainee / Technician

£12.71 - £14.00 per hour

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Our client is seeking a Machining Trainee / Technician to join their friendly production team, manufacturing high-precision engineering components.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in engineering or for an individual with previous machining experience who is looking for their next challenge. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out various machining and associated manufacturing processes
• Mounting, machining, cleaning, and inspecting precision components
• Reading and following engineering drawings and work instructions
• Completing quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
• Adhering to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations at all times
• Working as part of a small, supportive production team

Candidate Requirements:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Engineering qualification preferred
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work to high standards
• Previous machining experience is advantageous for Technician-level applicants

Salary:

Trainee: £12.71 - £13.31 per hour

• Suitable for candidates with little or no machining experience
• Engineering Level 2/3 qualification desirable

Technician: £13.69 - £14.00 per hour

• Previous machining experience required
• Engineering Level 2/3 qualification preferred
