We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturing business supplying high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice customers.

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead food safety, quality, and compliance across their site. This is a key leadership role, working closely with production, NPD, and customers to maintain the highest technical standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with production and NPD teams to enhance product quality.
• Analyse data to drive improvements and implement CAPA plans.
• Maintain QMS that meets BRC and customer standards.
• Achieve and sustain AA+ audit readiness.
• Ensure global legal compliance of all products.
• Deliver cost-efficient lab testing and effective root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation and customer codes of practice.
• Manage HACCP plans and conduct risk assessments
• Develop, maintain, and improve QMS aligned with BRCGS, HACCP, and SALSA standards.
• Lead internal audits and manage third-party audit readiness.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Expertise in managing BRCGS and retailer audits.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proven experience in technical/quality management within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU food legislation and standards
