ROLE:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the seamless operation of the entire site. Collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager, your role will focus on optimizing maintenance processes through a standardized rota. You’ll provide vital support to various departments, ensuring the availability of all essential and critical spare parts to prevent downtime and maintain uninterrupted manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of experienced Maintenance Engineers to meet the site’s maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all machines are serviced according to the annual service calendar, with spares and critical parts logged.
- Maintain and renew OEM service contracts as needed.
- Build strong relationships with external suppliers and contractors to secure competitive pricing and reliable service for spares and repairs.
- Continuously refine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) checkpoints to minimize breakdowns and enhance machinery performance.
- Oversee and address breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and health & safety tickets through the company portal, maximizing equipment uptime.
- Track and report monthly maintenance KPIs.
- Work with the Engineering Manager on projects such as new equipment installations, including site visits for scoping or training.
- Coordinate contractors for building and facility maintenance.
- Develop individual progression plans for team members, conducting regular monthly one-to-one reviews.
- Uphold exemplary 5S housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support for mechanical and electrical installations and fault finding.
- Plan and execute the onboarding or relocation of equipment, liaising with production to align with manufacturing needs.
- Actively support cross-disciplinary training and flexibility within the team.
