Recycling Pre-Sorters | Casual | Western Suburbs

Labourpower is expanding our casual workforce across Adelaide's western suburbs to support growing demand within the recycling and waste management industry.

We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Recycling Pre-Sorters for casual assignments with leading recycling facilities. These roles are ideal for candidates who are dependable, physically fit and comfortable working in fast-paced processing environments.

About the Role

• Sorting recyclable materials from conveyor belts and processing lines
  • Identifying and removing non-recyclable or contaminated items
  • Separating materials such as plastics, cardboard, paper, glass and metals
  • Monitoring product quality and maintaining sorting standards
  • General cleaning and housekeeping duties within the facility
  • Assisting with operational tasks as required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, repetitive movements and the ability to remain focused throughout the shift.

Shift Times

Assignments may be available across day, and afternoon shifts, depending on client requirements. Typical shift lengths range from 8 to 12 hours.

Pay Rate

$32 - $36 per hour + Super (dependent on experience, shift and assignment)

To Be Considered You Must Have

• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, production, manufacturing or labouring environments (highly regarded)
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify different recyclable materials
  • Strong work ethic and reliability (consistent attendance is essential)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Availability for rotating shifts and overtime when required
  • Reliable transport
  • Willingness to complete Drug & Alcohol screening, Reference and Criminal History checks

Forklift Licence (LF), Front End Loader or other mobile plant experience is advantageous but not essential.
