Summary
GI Pro are working in partnership with an aerospace company, based in Thurmaston, who are one of the world’s largest manufactures of nuts, bolts, and fasteners. Their products are being used worldwide in airframe, aero-engine, and space for companies such as airbus and rolls Royce.
We are recruiting for enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator to join their growing team.
Working a doble day shift weekly rotating.
Paying £14.18 per hour
Hours are as follows:
Week 1 - Monday - Thursday 5:30am – 2pm & Friday 5:30 am – 1.30pm
Week 2 - Monday - Thursday: 2pm - 10:30pm
Job Description
- Heating or chilling metal to extreme temperatures to strengthen the parts
- Dipping products into very hot salt
- Treat the products in chemical tanks
- Load and unload parts into a furnace
- Set the machines to the correct temperature
- Running multiple machines or cleaning and prepping ones that are not in use
- Working in other departments as required
The candidate
- You will have worked with engineering machinery
- Have experience in processing sheet metal to strengthen it
- Be able to work with chemicals
- Working in a physical role to load and unload parts
- Able to work with multiple machines and departments as the job requires.
- Candidates with engineering qualifications/apprenticeships will be considered.
