Technical Machine Operator

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour + £1.86 per hour shift allowance

We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the New Mills area for an experienced Technical Machine Operator. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established manufacturer offering long-term career prospects.

Working Hours

Week 1

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm

• Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm

Week 2

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

• Friday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm

This is a rotating two-week shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor production machinery.

• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.

• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report faults when required.

• Complete production documentation accurately.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

• A consistent work history within a production or manufacturing environment is essential.

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting.

• Strong technical aptitude and mechanical awareness.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work rotating shifts.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
