Factory Operations Accountant

Part qualified CIMA

Our client is looking for Factory Operations Accountant to join their Finance team.

This role reports directly to Finance Manager and they are looking for:
- Experience in gathering, manipulating & analysing operational data
- Experience in developing & maintaining efficient internal reporting processes
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- Strong people / communication skills
- The ability to work with non-financial managers to understand departmental performance
- The capability to work independently & pro-actively
- Experience of standard costing & variance analysis

Key Responsibilities
- Continuing development of the site KPI suite in response to business challenges
- Monitoring & reporting of factory KPIs
- Day to day partnering with operational management
- Preparation of production accounts information (Labour costs, production variances etc.)
- Assisting the Finance Manager with maintaining the standard costing system
- Assist with PIP project appraisal
- Fixed asset register maintenance & management
- Ad Hoc support to Finance Manager

Desired Skills/ Experience

- Previous experience in a similar role within FMCG manufacturing 

- Business partnering in an operations focused role 
- Part qualified CIMA Management Level (CIMA Dip MA)

- Streamlining processes using spreadsheets & VBA
- Familiarity working with MRP/ERP systems & data
- Capable of working pro-actively with an innovative approach to problem solving
- Providing time bound information e.g. end of shift/ end of week
