BI Reporting Analyst – SQL/PowerBI – Leeds

BI Reporting Analyst required for a global organisation based in Leeds City Centre, where you will be required to provide data and financial analysis support. You will be responsible for facilitating both internal and external reports which will be presented to internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident BI professional to make a real impact in an exciting and growing team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience across all SQL databases, and it would be highly desirable if you had experience with PowerBI.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Continually review the ongoing stream of requests to ensure they are currently prioritised and shift priorities to meet changing demands
• Work to ensure existing reports remain stable and any issues are investigated and resolved
• Accountable for the accuracy of data and ensuring the consistency and quality of the internal and external reporting suite
• Manage ongoing maintenance work of existing reporting, as well as the provision of new reports as required
• Run regular reports from various systems to provide analysis and insight to senior stakeholders and help enhance the relationship with clients
• Understand the various systems and the key operational data required to effectively manage the operational aspects of the business
• Understand the various systems and ensure completeness, accuracy and integrity of data between databases and systems

Key Skills of the role:

• Ideal to have experience of reporting solutions in PowerBI
• Administration experience/understanding of SQL Server relational database management
• Ability to query databases using T-SQL and troubleshooting scripting issues
• Influences effectively across a range of stakeholders, taking a flexible approach in response to changing business requirements
• Ability to deliver enhancements and bug fixes to existing reporting and ensure the outputs are delivered in accordance with timetables and deadlines
